Almost Famous

An awesome teacher in Platte City, Missouri - Kelly Miller - just sent me this news story about my upcoming visit to her school.  It made me smile big time!

Love the contest idea of putting the winner as a character in your book. Perhaps you’ll not only encourage them to read more but even start a bit of writing of their own.

From a teacher and a mother… thank you for being hands on with your readers. It inspires the kids… I imagine it inspires you as well.

This is one of the best news stories I’ve seen in a long time.  Those kids are pretty great too.

Going out to schools and visiting with the students, teachers, and librarians is one of the most rewarding parts of my job! It’s the best part about writing these books, for sure.
